Who charges my card?
Paddle is the Merchant of Record. PainPoint.biz never charges or refunds a card.
What currency am I charged in, and is tax included?
Amounts are in USD. The payment page states the total you are charged, including any tax.
What does the button send to the payment page?
The button sends only a package and billing interval—never a provider price identifier or pre-payment answers.
Is there a free trial?
Starter alone starts with a seven-day, card-required trial: one Quick discovery up to three competitors and one Quick research up to three complaints. Each member gets one trial. Builder and Pro have none.
When does it renew, and how do I cancel?
Your package renews automatically at the interval you chose until canceled. Canceling stops the next renewal, not current paid access. Credits keep arriving and expiring as usual until the paid period ends. Manage it in Paddle’s billing portal.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. You can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. Paddle, our Merchant of Record, processes refunds under its Buyer Terms. Ask through the support form. A refund or chargeback also ends the credits left. Read the Refund Policy.
What does one research run actually cover?
Runs stay bounded by mode and approved competitors; no package promises complete source coverage.
What happens if I delete a project and add it again?
Deleting a project removes its research and complaints. Adding it again starts fresh. Under a credit-based package, the same complaint can be found again and opening it may use another credit. Credits already spent are not refunded.
How do credits work?
Each month your package adds its credits: 10 on Starter, 25 on Builder, 100 on Pro. Starting a research run costs 1 credit for Quick, 2 for Standard and 4 for Deep; Starter cannot start Deep. Opening each new complaint costs 1 more; the same complaint found again is not charged twice, though a reworded or translated one may count as new. Complaints you cannot open yet stay saved with the project, in the order they were found.
Do unused credits carry over?
No. Credits added for a month expire when that month ends, and the next month adds its own. An annual package adds its credits month by month, twelve times.
What if a research run fails?
If a research run fails before finding anything, its start credit comes back, once. A run you cancel, or one that finishes with no complaints, keeps its start credit. A trial’s one Quick run is not given back.
